About Us

The Green Development foundation (GDF) is an NPO based in Kempton Park, Gauteng.

GDF’s love and commitment to greening and socio economic development can be witnessed nationwide throughout our projects in Agriculture and Food, Environmental and Water Conservation, Training and Development as well as our goal to tackle Youth Unemployment.

Some of our programs have been designed to address issues such as food security and nutrition, climate change mitigation, afforestation and education and awareness.

GDF’s accreditation with various SETA’s awards us the privilege to conduct training in our sector through theory and practical exposure in all official languages through curriculum integration with various training facilities. Our love for our people and the planet is evident in the partnerships that we have created with various entities to assist us in reaching our sustainable development goals.

Leadership & Management

Victor Nesengani

Victor Nesengani is an experienced horticulturist with expertise in business. Having held executive leadership roles, Victor offers a wealth of knowledge in Business Management & the Agricultural industry.

Victor offers the following experience:

  • Chief horticulturist Kempton Park Municipality
  • Director at Department of Environmental Restoration and Waste Management – Ekurhuleni.
  • Acting HOD at the Department of Environmental Restoration and Waste Management – Ekurhuleni.

Victor has had a hand in building entities such as the Department of Public Works, SANBI and Top Tur.

On August 21st 2021, he was appointed as a non-executive board member for the Green Development Foundation.
